USER BEWARE. I had two units go wrong in a week because the step (3)following is not mentioned.

NB. When using your Manual as a guide to connect your MY600LMT to you computer (see Page 11) there is a vital step missing. You will notice that the step (3) that I have given is new, and the Manual's step (3) has become my step (4).
The procedure as I found out from a Navman 'Tech' helper, should be as follows. It worked for me but the damage had been done.

1. Turn on your computer.
2. Turn on your MY600LMT
3. Connect you USB lead to you Navman and then to a USB port in your
computer (NOT a USB hub).
4. When your Navman is connected to your computer a pop-up message should appear on your Navman . It will give you two (2) choices,
(see point 3. of the Manual) choose carefully, and only do what that choice says you are able to do.

If these choices do not come up something is wrong, and you should not go ahead.

Make sure you read the last sentence on Pg. 11 and follow their advice, as I am sure lots of people have lost data after not following this instruction. I am not one of them. I follow instructions to the letter, but as you can see sometimes they are incomplete and something else goes wrong.

The two units I managed to disable because of poor, incomplete instructions have been returned under warranty and I doubt I will ever buy another. Sad really, as after having bought it I got in the car and set a trip and off I went. Was delighted I could talk to it and advise it to re route via a street of my choice. It announced it was re routing, I continued on my way, without stopping and I could not have been happier.

Just a shame they do not get a few people to trial all the Manual instructions a few times to iron out the problems. I wonder how many get returned and resold. The one I got as a replacement for my first purchase was probably re packaged - the CD was smudged and dirty. Buyer beware, and don't be afraid to return.
