I purchased the Nuvi 660 last night and as soon as I got home I upgraded the firmware to 2.70 using Webscheduler. To my horror, when the unit restarted, ALL the map files had become corrupted and the nuvi no longer recognised any maps. What I am now stuck with is a GPS that can take me home when I am home.

Does anyone have a copy or backup of the Australian City Navigator V7 map files, I think they are the .img files available that would be willing to give me a copy? a zip file email or download would be very well received

Its the holiday season and who knows when Garmin or local Aussie support will be available again. I am so keen to use this unit.

Any assiatance appreciated.

i have had exactly the same problem. Did you find a way of solving this. The above fix did not solve this problem for my 660
