Hi folks,
Have been looking around now for the past few weeks for a good source of data for a carpooling application - basically an app that allows drivers match with carpoolers dynamically for sharing rides. The app would need a list of pickup points and drop-off points, so we're thinking of using gas stations for this.
Does anyone know if there are any APIs that expose this info? (as opposed to downloading data and importing into our system). As our app is new, it would be good to pull down this data when needed (i.e. when new users sign) rather than import en-masse (when its not really needed).
I would imagine other users would have the same requirement - how can device be optimized to only hold the data they need? I would imagine that the majority of devices out there must hold loads of redundant data?
