Are the point of interest's supposed to display on the 'view map' (3-d map that shows while you are driving)? Currently i can only see the poi's in the 'where to' -> 'browse map' view.
Thanks.

I have the same issue... I have uploaded all my POI's and BMPs and they do not show up on the 3D map. I have made sure there were no errors in the POI files and have made sure my BMP's are 16x16 32bit colour. Is there something we're doing wrong? What's the point of uploading images when they don't appear on the map. Is this a bug guys? -Thanks

I asked the same question to some Garmin guys and they said this is the
way it is . The POI's will only show up if you go to : Where to - Food,Lodging - Spell Name - Done : all your local POI's will show up . Or go to another subject and the POI will show up when you show map .
Seems strange to me why they don"t show up while driving like other brand GPS's .

Hi guys,
Mine shows up alright in 3D view, whether it is during a navigation or just cruising along, but they all seem to show up as a little grey dot; and sometimes they are actually on the wrong side of the intersection / road.
Trying to get some help from Mark at the moment, will post any news when I get some.

| Back again..just reloaded all the files w/ their corresponding icons, and they all look good. ( Well, so far I have only road test the POIs when they were still showing as little grey dots during 3D driving view, but I will road test the icons tomorrow. )

| I think you need to set the map to display MORE Detail.

Thats weird...I am sure mine is showing up while I am driving...and I am most definitely sure the camera POIs are, pretty sure the rest are too. All I did is follow the instructions from this website somewhere.
Sorry, I know I am not much help, I can only say that it works.

| I have a Nuvi 310. In the normal View Map and Where to? settings it only shows custom POI's when zoomed right up. Otherwise, they are not visible unless you go to a map through the Custom POI's window. That may be different for the 660 though.

| loaded all the starbucks in the US on my nuvi 350, havent figured out how to see the icons in the 3d driving view, but i notice i can see the custom icons when i scroll the 3d view thus changing it to the 2d (top down) view, then when zoomed in very tight i can see the starbucks logo and other various POI icons.. not sure how useful that is.. would much rather see the icons show up in the 3d driving view.. the search goes on

| You need to download the CSV and the BMP file.

|
|
| I have loaded up both csv and bmp for speed camera file Australia and using garmin poi loader to transfer them onto Garmin 750. It didn't load up all the POI when I checked under Custom POI. Also the speed camera bitmap didn't seem to load up correctly since it was showing as a grey dot. Any clue? Help appreciated.

| Ok everything pretty much resolved except that not all POI listed on CSV transferred onto Garmin 750. Not sure why the possibility.
