I've purchased a new SD Card (ScanDisk ExtremeIII 1.0GB) tp load the new files etc onto, but my Tomtom One v2 rejects it.

Any hints on how to make it work PLEASE.
Does the card have to be under a certain size or type etc.

I have to reset the Tomtom after refitting the orginal card.

I Have now, and it works! Thanks sooo much for your help. Embarassed

I guess the format is done in Fat32?

I had the same issue.

I ended up starting TomTom home with my old card then backed up, changed cards and did a restore.

Hi - I have a UK map SD card, and have downloaded an Australian map.
The UK SD card isn't big enough for the Aussie map, so I bought a new SD card.
But Tomtom Home won't recognise the card. It won't even recognise that there is a "device" connected.
It just sat there - saying please wait. After an hour I gave up, but couldn't turn the thing off. I eventually found the reset button - no thanks to Tomtom's instruction booklets. At least my UK maps still work.
But I still can''t work out how to transfer the Aussie maps from my computer to a new SD card. Any ideas anyone????

Can any one help please

I have a tomtom one new edition europe.

the device has all the maps etc loaded on to the internal memory. However i would like to also use an sd card which i brought seperatly as it did not come with one. every time i insert the card the device rejects it. i have tried formatting the disk as FAT & FAT32 but still no luck

Advise please

It should be noted that SD-HC cards are not compatible with TomTom

Cards brands that WILL work with TomTom: A1, AData (1 GB), ByteStor (Hi-speed), Dane-elec, Expansys, Integral, Hama, HP, Kingston, Kodak, Perutz, Sandisk, NCP, PQ1, Traxdata (normal series and PRO series), Transcend, Viking

Card brands that will NOT work: Aria 512 MB, Bystore, ByteStor (normal speed), Corsair, PNY (some work, others don't)
