I have a Tomtom One.....can anyone tell me how to cancel a navigation prior to reaching the destination.?? I often just want to "turn off" a navigation and can't work out how to do it.

| Go to main menu. Page over to main menu 3 of 3. Press the clear route icon. That should cancel you route.

| Need to goto page 7/7 in the preferences menu, and enable the Show more menu options, to see them

So I plan a route (navigate to a friend's house), on the way I decide to stop for gas, so I click POI on route. After getting the gas, is there a way to clear that POI, and have it navigate me to my friend's house?
My TomTom One, wants to navigate me back to the gas station.
I have cleared the route and planned a new route to my friend's house, but I would think there is a way to quick cancel the POI on route and keep the original route.
Any suggestions?

USE THE FIND ALTERNATIVE OPTION
THEN TRAVEL VIA
THEN POINT OF INTREST AND SELECT POI OF YOUR CHOICE
NOTE TT DOSE NOT TELL YOU TO STOP OR LET YOU KNOW WHEN ARIVING AT YOUR SELECTED VIA LOCATION

| like someone else said...i only have 2 pages of screens and not sure how to expand the menu to have it show 3 pages for the cancel navigation icon. please help.

Hi, you need to do the following,
Tap your map screen, then; tap 'change preferences', tap to page 3 of 3, tap 'show all menu options' tap 'confirm'
now you can tap your map screen, tap the arrow through to page 3 of 3, tap 'clear route'
