When I load routes from Mapsource to my nuvi 255 it says 'Data transferred successfully' but I then cannot locate the route on the nuvi. I've looked everywhere including 'Favourites', 'Extras', Recently Found' etc etc but cannot locate the route. Does the 255 model not have this capability?

When you go to tools, settings, map and then map info, does it show more than one map? I've never loaded another map, but I think it should show up there - I'm going to try downloading map source and I will let you know what I find.

Thanks for your reply, Mike - I've checked under 'map info' and there is only 1 map loaded, which appears to be my free Europe upgrade which I downloaded. No signs of any routes though. I did find something in the FAQ Knowledgebase which listed some nuvi models that you could only download waypoints onto, but not routes - however the 255 was not on that list - I have however emailed Garmin Support to check this out, still waiting for a reply though...!

I've just received my reply from Garmin Support - apparently you can only load waypoints, not routes, onto the nuvi 225, as I suspected. This is not actually a huge problem for me as I can use waypoints to 'force' the nuvi to calculate the route that I want - however it would be nice if the Garmin documentation told you this simple fact...
