Is there a way to "upgrade" the bluetooth to work with phones not on the list?
I can get my phone to ring, but can't answer the call.

I have no answer to your question but can offer one comment instead... The quality of what your caller will hear through the built-in microphone is so low that I honestly recommend buying a speaker phone car set instead..
