How do I get the Navigate 8.8.8888 GPS to work?

Hi the version you are talking about has not been released for very long.
can you please tell me what you have done?
So we can count out your steps.

is the version 8.8.8888 a all new sat nav or did you up date from a older version.
please explained everything you did.
