Does Garmin Voice Prompts work with Garmin Mobile XT Software? I tried to install the voice prompts with the Garmin Mobile XT software but it didn't work.

I installed the .BMP, .MP3 & .GPX files in the same directory and all had same names. but still didnt work Sad

. All i get is a beep.

Can anyone help?

You can't change voices on Garmin. You can only install with Garmin poi loader the *.GPX files converted to *.GPI files and copy all to directory "Garmin\Poi " on SD card.

Yes i understand that but i am talking about the voice files that are availabe for download with the .GPX files and .BMP files. these voice files don't seem to be working on Garmin mobile XT.

The images and the camera warnings are working but all i get is a warning beep. When installing the POI files, i made sure that i had copied the .BMP, .MP3 & .GPX files in the same directory and they all had same names but still the voice prompts don't seem to be working.

Can anyone help, please.

What are you running this on?
Maybe your unit can only use *.wav files.

It worked for me.

Just create a folder VOICE in the Garmin folder on SD card.
Copy the Garmin voice files ( *.vpm)

That's it.
It works.

I also confirm copying the voice file .vpm into the voice folder (if you don't have it, then create one in the Garmin directory) and everything just works.
