Hi all,

I'm frantically searching the web for campsite POI's for Germany and below down to Italy.... I've found a ASCI and another good looking one on here but can't figure out how to download it and it's driving me insane...

I find the page, click download but nothing happens? I've looked through the FAQ to see if i need to pay a membership (which I don't mind) before but it doesn't say either way so I'm reluctant to do so if I can't D/L anyway.

Can anyne help me? I'd really appreciate it.

cheers
James

cheers for the quick responses!

i've turned both on now and tried again. Not sure if i'm missing something obvious but this is what i do...

- select italy
- select accom
- select campsite icon
- click download

this is where i'd expect a pop up to d/l it but i get taken to a new screen where is have a list of all satnav makes down the right hand side and a white square space to the right.... i'm not sure what to do at this point?

cheers for the help

james

I've got Symantec by the looks of things, and firewall...

Both are on, do you think this could cause the problem?

Mark - cheers for your advice today mate.

Turned off the firewall for a while and then the links to download worked!

I've got what i wanted now from the site but bizarrly I can't get the files to show on the tomtom 1 v2.... I've copied as usual into the correct file and it shows but when I disco from the laptop i can't find them!

I've checked in the manage/enable section but nothing there?

Any ideas?

james - getting moneys worth today! Cool

Hi
It should be quite simple to copy and paste our TomTom POI files. Use POI Loader for any Garmin unit. All this is explained in our dedicated GPS forums.

Mmm, those instructions are how I've done it in the past but still not working... I think it's something my end as the files are fine....

I've searched the TomTom forum but no-one else seems to be having such a simple problem... any ideas?

PS - I can see the files in the Western Europe folder when connected but not when disco?

Hi
Try to open and verify downloaded files with POI Editor, or create a sample file to try to find what's the problem...
