I tried to connect my Navman F10 to my laptop and upgrade the software. Since then I have lost all the voices, any tips?

Check the software, you should be able to transfer the voices back onto the device from your pc.
Believe the update functionality wipes the voices. A message should have popped up saying this.
Kind of weird I thought. If the voices had to be temporarily wiped, could the update process transfer the voices to the computer HDD, perform the update, and then transfer back on automatically?
But what do I know.

OOPs.
same here , when the warning came up i thought that "well i have not downloaded and new voices so no need to back up file"

Done it !!!.
load up your NAVDESK program and there is a icon on the left saying Transfer voice.
click it and a menu pops up with all the pre loaded voices.
Just add them and click upload voice with your Navman conected to PC
TADA!!

Hi Guys
I have spoken to NAVMAN UK support 01293 566100
They say that the SP2 Upgrade wipes the Voices and the only way to retrieve it is to get the Connectivity Software (they are sending me the CD ONLY FOC) . You can use any Mini USB cable so not a problem. The problem is that the F10 does not come with the connectivity software
I also found an F10 Manual. Says its for Oz and New Z but last page gives all UK info but number is wrong .. use the one above. I told the support person and she didn't even know about the manual for an F10... talk about left and right hand ......
Hope this helps you guys
BTW I didn't get a warning saying that the SP2 update would wipe the voices and spent 3~4 hours trying to reset before calling the supoort line

Now registered (I was the one who got an F10 manual)
Did you also loose the Speed Cameras when you updated to SP2 ?

Where do you find the NAVDESK program?
There was no disks with the navman f10 at all

Hi Angelbabe1uk
If you contact support and explain what happened they will send you a CD (eventually .. you may have to "remind" them)
Use the 01293 566100 in the UK
Normally they charge £15+ for CD and cable but you should get CD free and all you need is a Mini-USB cable

I also had the same problem and rang the number shown above.
You will be advised to ring another number 08448000912.
The responce was quick with all details taken and the promise of a DVD to reset for spoken navigation instructions.
I was given a reference number should I encounter any problems and the promise of an email to assist with the upload.
