There seems to be duplication of files
I understand where there are combined speed and red light camera files, but it seems to get all the files, you have to use the following files
Speed_Cameras_au.CSV
Speed_Camera.CSV
Speed_Red_Camera.CSV
Some of these provide locations close to each other (obviously one or in some cases, are not quite on the mark) so you get multiple alerts. Some appear on one file but not the other.
One example is the camera on the corner of the Tuggeranong Parkway and Hindmarsh Drive in Canberra - driving through there gave me three different alerts for the one camera because they were all about 15 metres apart.
Which is the "right one" and aside from combing all three, what's the answer?? |

Hi
I agree that it is not nice to have repeated camera alerts. As you know, our registered users can add camera locations and other interesting POI locations. Unfortunately, some users list some POI locations more than once. We clean our database and remove obvious duplicates, however, we relay on a community spirit. Your knowledge is important to us. All duplicated camera locations should be reported (delete) and we will remove them ASAP.
In addition, you should download CUSTOMERS ONLY marked files. You do not need to install free camera POI files and you will not be alerted twice for any camera location that is listed in our free database.

i'm having a bit of difficulty understanding this myself.
for example you have
Speed Cameras
Speed and Red Light Cameras
Mobile Speed Cameras
Fixed Speed Cameras
what exactly goes into what category? are both "mobile" and "fixed" speed cameras fit into the "speed cameras" category? it seems a bit confusing..
i was also puzzled by
Red Light Cameras
Fixed Red Cameras
in my mind, the definition of a red light camera means it has to be fixed? are there any other kind? so whats the difference between the two categories??
are you able to make it somewhat clearer about what files we need to get all the POI's - without getting overlaps?
thanks!

Hi
You should download CUSTOMERS ONLY marked camera files and you will not get overlaps. Our free camera POI files are provided for users to test our database before they decide to register for full access to our speed camera POI database.
