When i use Google maps and try to send it to my TomTom Google doesn't recognize or give me the choice to send it to the TomTom. It's connected to my computer and works because i can search in the tomtoms files or using the tomtom software with it. |

Hi,
I was reading on the forum that they can save the gps coordinates and save them direct to their tomtom. I have just joined up with Google Maps and I'll be damned if I can find where you can do that. Anyone else had any luck doing this?

Yeah tomtom.com actually has a video up on their webpage now showing you how to do so. But to save you the hassle from doing that... Just plug your tom tom into the usb and connect to your pc. Search for on google maps for whatever business/address you are looking for. Once you have found the exact location click on it so the bubble pops up giving you the details in just above the map view you'll see Save to GPS right beside Print map
once that windows pops up scroll down on the left side to gps and from there i'm sure you can figure out the rest. Just make sure you tomtom is connected to the pc and tap the "connect to pc" button on the touchscreen of your tomtom, and be sure the tomtom home program is installed first. usually installs the first time you hook the tomtom upto your pc.

At the moment, the Send to GPS only works when you "Search for Businesses".
But, do a search for TYRE, that will allow you to create itineraries with Google Maps and then send them to the GPS.

| As I know, Garmin has direct upload option available since mid 2006. It uploads points of interest directly to all compatible devices. It works with any POI location on the map, but the best POI description is given if you find POI here: http://www.gps-data-team.com/poi/
