1 glennth TomTom for Windows Mobile Means you dont need to carry an additional item Accuracy not as good as dedicated unit 5
2 bergspyder Garmin C330 Garmin C330 (a dog) Internal memory cant hold CNE DVD, only a certain number of maps from it. So you must know where youre going before you go there to load the specific maps. So if you know where youre going.....Crazy. SD drive not fast enough for device to use so you cant load CNE to SD Card either. Device cant read POI from SD Card. Load more than 20k POIs on internal memory and theres no space for maps. Great. Garmin support has to be the least supportive support ever. One guy didnt even know C330 has SD slot. Shouldve bought another brand. I will when this thing dies as it must or Ill kill it.
3 hollystreasure3 Mio Moov S401 New simple interface, thin, relatively quick response Limited customization, search defaults to alphabetical order 6
4 impulsive78 Garmin 260w More than adequate for locating destinations and determining appropriate routes to take Maps sometimes appear to have breaks in roads near intersections. But usually not an issue. 7
5 bradobman Garmin Nuvi 765 Good screen size, good color, Garmin keeps up with firmware updates Slow at times, maps not always right even when updated. 6
6 p-l333333 TomTom One Provides information regarding weight restrictions, bridge heights, road widths, toll information. Stay away from TomTOm online shop & customer service department. 7
7 pmaunder Garmin Nuvi 1350 Works very well. Garmin Software Excellent Maps not always up to date. 7
8 cfrederick Garmin 1390T Fast reaction time; clear maps and directions; availability of 3rd party dowloads. Sometimes choses poor routing 7
9 gwendick Garmin StreetPilot 2720 Menu is somewhat intuitive. Just updated to lifetime updates. Thought it would correct street & data errors. So far I am disappointed. DeLorme far outclasses Garmin in my travel experience. Also, poor audio which is located in the power cable. 5
10 franksemail go730 Easy to use. Cant search by street 7
11 pnfowdar Navman S35 Easy to use. Comes with some POIs. Not as clear as other models. Hard to create multiple point trip. Copilot is very clear and is easiest to use. 5
12 philipw Nuvi 1690 Overall, Ive had a really good experience with this GPS. The biggest strength of this GPS unit is that it can hook into the Internet and Google can be searched to find locations. The real-time traffic isnt always accurate. There are spots where the device tells me that traffic is slow, and Im sailing right on through, while slow areas arent indicated on the device. 8
13 andrei_dacu Garmin Nuvi 765t Good screen (visible in all lighting conditions)
Reasonably quick redraw
Very sensitive to USB cable selection when connecting to Win 7 PC. Low battery performance. 8
14 andy61 Garmin nuvi 265W Easy to use; quick to load; quick to acquire satellites. (IMHO as a first time Sat Nav owner!) POI organisation could be improved 7
15 kwknox Nuvi 465t Provides information regarding weight restrictions, bridge heights, road widths, toll information. Not intuitive enough. Difficult to find Points of Interest and too much time is spent trying to determine routes. 5
16 pablo_gsxr750 Garmin Nuvi 1390T Device does exactly what it says on the box! Stay away from Garmin online shop & customer service department. 5
17 rnatoli Garmin 755T Easy to use. Great viewing screen. Entry buttons are very close together. Unit sometimes locks-up. 9
18 alex.bojanic Garmin Nuvi 765T Fast routing, very accurate traffic alerts (at least in Chicago area), Line assist, displaying speed limits. Work great as MP3 player. Solid FM transmit functionality with some white noise around airports (which is expected). Better Line assist coverage, option to display POIs on main routing map... 9
19 PeterAAF1com Zumo 550 & Nuvi 765 Very Good I do not think I can bypas Recalc Directions. It always wants to take me back to ITS original route. 8
20 jack3388 Garmin Good UI, muti language no build in TV 9
21 rosspat KNA-G430 This is an older unit (2006) which is installed in the car I have just bought. So far I have no Major complaints with it. The only minor complaint is that it is a bit too bright at night even with it dimmed. 4
22 rgp Navman MY55T Fast adjustments to routes, easy to use, connects to bluetooth phones ,voice can be linked to FM radio The Home button is in a bad spot as I seem to keep running my thumb over it while setting up 6
23 buggie67 nüvi® 855 I love it! Easy to use even take on walks to see how far and fast I walk. Sound on fm radio not so good 7
24 cpsoft Garmin Nuvi 265T Small. Easily readable. Doesnt need much space. Works well in Mini Cooper. The Blutooth is excellent. The traffic warnings are not up to speed on construction zones. The text-to-speech is fairly poor with some common words, like North. Cant turn up loud enough to hear over music without distorting speaker. 6
25 annehendersongreer navman 40i clear screen photopix ability to use pics as destination short battery life 6
26 nrsss Garmin 265WT Easy to find most locations including small parks and soccer fields. Proximity look up is nice when trying to find convenient places to eat, etc. It get us where we need to be. predefined routes not supported as far as I can tell on this unit 7
27 james.thompson19 Garmin 53 Good interface with HSV media screen, Fast and reliable navigation Graffics are chunky and road signage displays obscure road graffics 6
28 SalukiCyclist Garmin Nuvi 255w Easy to use, simple It would be nice if a user could uptimize the most efficient route for several waipoints. Also it would be nice to be able to access photos by touching the map icons. I store more detailed maps of apartment complexes etc and I need a more convenient way to access this data. 7
29 stokesay34 Garmin Mobile XT Provides a good clear map, very easy to use and set up, provides good route information. In all I would recommend. Not spotted many yet but does sometimes crash when zooming in on maps, and has a tendency to give a fully zoomed out map when looking up POIs on the map. 8
30 sam33 Garmin Nuvi 205 Quick and easy to use No street names are verbalized - hard to know when you should turn sometimes. 4
31 mikenmon GARMIN GPSmap 60CSX Versatile ,compact , good in bright sunlight, portable , long battery life. Small screen , will not do school zones with time brackets. 7
32 Gottfried nuvi 1350, Mobile XT Nuvi 1350: Cheap and useful. Can do nearly all
Mobile XT: Powers my mobile
Nuvi 1350: No bluetooth Mobile XT: Useful and easy 7
33 whisky2000 HTC HD2 - Co Pilot Large screen, fast, good touch sense, uses micro sd cards Wont run TomTom 6. Using Co-Pilot atm. Waiting for TT 7. 6
34 mike.herring Garmin nuvi 350 Very easy to use.
Routes are mostly right on.
Arrival times seem very accurate
Display is small for our situatiuon (RV) Lacks features found in more recent devices (free traffic, bluetooth, lane assist, multiple waypoints per trip) 7
35 latali Garmin NUVI 350 Features are rich, touch screen is responsive, battery lasts very long. Start up is very slow, GPS receiption is below average, SD slot can only take memory of 2GB or below. 4
36 aesirx nuvi 765t Great features, fast satellite acquisition, attractive interface sluggish and sometimes inaccurate touch screen, SW 3.90 introduces a very long screen lag when typing the second letter when searching for a POI 7
37 iainbrookes Garmin StreetPilot C510 Easy to use; clear speech. Can now download UK low bridges, etc, for when driving truck! Puzzling when indicated I climb a stile over a ditch then drive across field. Slow picking lanes when approaching roundabouts - probably cos I need max map info! Instructions on how to update mapping a joke - spent hours on forums. Built-in memory too small. 6
38 richard.catt Nuvi 310 Generally rliable and 49 out of 50 times better than using other methods to navigate. As far as I am aware, lacks an avoid this road or avoid this road for x miles option. Postcodes of course take you to the back of some commercial premises, which can be annoying 7
39 huddo Garmin Nuvi 1350 Finds location quickly, recalculates quickly if off course. Spoken directions mis-pronunces street names occassionally, sometimes spoken directions are different from map info. 6
40 mrak TOMTOM Go 930 nice wide screen don't get this, save your money and get the 730, the only difference in this to the 730 is you get the maps for america, europe and nz, the other feature about workng in tunnels to get better reception DOESN'T WORK 6
41 Alan.Napier GO 750 Quick GPS satellite capture. Clear interface and logical display. Provides a lot of practical information to the driver... such as what lane to be in well before a turn off. Easy to load Tom Tom files and voices. The voice recognition is pretty unreliable. You often need to repeat commands a number of times before it selects the correct request. 7
42 amedina Garmin Nuvi 1490T Screen size, brightness, contrast. And, loud clear volume. Often, acquiring satellites takes very long, and screen refresh rates are sometimes very slow. Also, Ive found several inaccuracies in the pre-loaded maps. This unit nuvi 1490T, replaces my old nuvi 680, so Ive not yet updated to the latest maps. 7
43 TedL2 Magellan 4700, 2200T Magellan 4700: Great multiroute, lane assist, predictive and free live traffic, pedestrian mode, car locator, large screen.

Magellan 2200T: Custom POIs, good battery life, plays music/pictures, can download hiking and marine maps.
Magellan 4700: No custom POIs, no music/pictures. Magellan 2200T: No mulitroute, lane assist, predictive or free live traffic, music only when not using navigation. 4
44 su1c1dal garmin 265WT simple to use out of the box
easy to update
speaker sounds tinny at higher volumes people say that they cant hear me properly via the bluetooth. 7
45 bsmk1sv BMW Motorrad Navigator III Nice big screen and easy use buttons and menu Early ones let water in ? so when not in use over the winter keep it in the house Warm n Snug 7
46 pushandpull TTG 940 Live Have owned TTGo Classic, 300, 700, 720, 920 and now the 940 Live. This has proved to be the only that I would call totally reliable!
HD Traffic and IQ Routes very good.
Otherwise very pleased with the 940 Live.
Still consider Live Services useless and unecessary expense. Fuel prices always out of date, Google search seldom gives required results. 7
47 pwilson662 Garmin nuvi 760 Acquires satellites quickly Map updates take several hours. 7
48 rickniec Garmin Nuvi 760 Full accessories for the traveler both local & abroad. Plus blue tooth for hands free phone. Updating maps is expensive $70 each year. 8
49 colindavis29 Garmin Nuvi 765t its an excellant piece of kit clear maps & voice plenty of features sometimes freezes up & the only way to get it to work again is remove it from the site of the satalites for about 5 min it always seems to happen in the same places every time also the speed warning box is really small on this model & hard to see but with cheaper nuvis there is a big banner across the top of the screen garmin should have used this feature on the 765t 6
50 UC.Jim.Thomas 1490T Huge screen; loud speaker; very bright - easy to see maybe a little too big 8
